"Works Well on Most Devices"
I’ve had a good experience streaming on my laptop and iPad with no real issues. My older phone does struggle a bit sometimes, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re using an older device. Overall, I’d still say it’s worth trying, especially if you mostly watch on newer devices

"Slow updates made things harder than they needed to be"
I had to keep chasing for updates, and when they did come through, they were either late or not very clear. It just made the whole experience more frustrating than it needed to be, especially since better communication feels like something totally avoidable.

"Hard to Find Basic Screening Info"
A friend recommended bfi.org.uk to check screening times, so I gave it a try, but the site was frustrating. Pages loaded slowly, the menus felt messy, and I kept ending up going in circles. The search wasn’t much help either. I’m sure the info is probably on there somewhere, but it really shouldn’t take 20 minutes to find basic details. I gave up in the end.

"Really Disappointed With the Service"
I came in expecting at least some basic help, but the staff didn’t really assist me at all. It felt like I was being ignored, which was frustrating. If this is the kind of service I can expect going forward, I’ll probably take my business somewhere else

I get that support teams can be busy, but you’d think getting a clear answer or basic help wouldn’t take forever. I waited ages and still never really got the proper help I needed

"Pretty comfy, maybe a little tight"
I thought the seats were comfortable enough, and the screening room seemed clean to me. It did feel a bit tight when people were trying to squeeze past, but overall I’d say it’s a nice place to watch a film without feeling too cramped.

"Disappointing screen and audio"
I expected a lot better from BFI. I was there with a coffee in hand, ready to settle in, but the screen looked weirdly dim and a bit blurry, like it wasn’t properly set up. The sound was muffled too, so some of the dialogue was hard to catch. I kept wondering if it was just my seat or my tired eyes, but no, it was distracting. Left feeling annoyed, which is not how I thought the night would go.

"Didn’t feel clean at all"
I went in hoping for a decent visit, but the place felt dirty. The toilets were a mess, there were bits all over the floor, and the seats felt grimy, which really put me off. Maybe I caught it on a bad day, but when the basics look like that, it makes you wonder how well the rest of the place is looked after too. I didn’t feel like sticking around.

"Payment went through eventually"
Booked tickets on bfi.org.uk and the payment part was... fine, I guess. My card got declined the first time without any real explanation, which was very relaxing, obviously. I refreshed and tried again, and then it went through. The confirmation email did arrive, just not straight away, so there was a brief moment where I was calmly wondering if I’d somehow paid twice. It worked in the end, but the process could definitely be smoother.

"Audio Issues Ruined the Film"
Not gonna lie, trying to watch a film on bfi.org.uk was frustrating. The audio was all over the place the whole time, one minute it was too quiet, then suddenly loud, and the voices sounded really muffled. I checked my speakers and tried other sites, and everything else worked fine, so it definitely seemed like an issue with the stream. Really annoying when you just want to sit down and enjoy a film properly. Not worth it for me.

"I was looking to rent at the worst…"
I was looking to rent at the worst possible time, and of course the prices were way higher than I expected. It just felt too pricey for a rental, especially when I needed something quickly.

"Still Being Charged After They Said It Would Stop"
I was told the charges would be canceled, but here I am still getting billed. It’s really frustrating because what they promised and what actually happened are two totally different things. I shouldn’t have to keep chasing this down after being assured it was taken care of

"I was disappointed with the subtitle…"
I was disappointed with the subtitle options on BFI. I found a few films I genuinely wanted to watch, but then there were no subtitles, or it wasn’t clear unless I clicked around for ages. If you need subtitles, it makes the whole thing harder to use, it feels like such a basic feature that should be sorted by now.

"Account management was confusing"
I tried sorting out my account on BFI IMAX and, it was more frustrating than I expected. The login seemed to act strangely, though maybe I was missing something, and updating my details wasn’t very clear. I felt like I kept going in circles without really knowing what I was supposed to do next. For a site that big, I guess I just thought it would be a bit more straightforward.

"Tried watching a film on bfi.org and…"
Tried watching a film on BFI IMAX and it buffered every few minutes. Netflix and YouTube were fine, so sure it wasn’t my internet. Had to restart twice, then it froze near the end. Really frustrating when you’ve paid for it. 1 star — wouldn’t use again unless they fix the player.

"A small login hiccup, but I got there in the end"
I had a bit of trouble logging into my BFI account because my saved password suddenly wouldn’t work. The reset email took a few minutes to come through, and at first I thought it hadn’t sent, which was a little frustrating. Thankfully, after trying again, I was able to get back in and everything else worked fine. It wasn’t a perfect experience, but I’m grateful the support pages were helpful enough to get me sorted. I’d still use the site again

"good films, messy site"
The site seems like it has a ton of great film stuff on it, but actually trying to find something worth watching is kind of a hassle. The recommendations feel random, and it’s always the same big titles getting pushed while the more interesting smaller films are basically hidden. I expected a bit more from BFI, tbh. The categories and collections don’t really make things easier, and half the time I end up leaving more Confused than when I started. The films themselves aren’t the problem, it’s just the way everything is laid out. It feels cluttered and a bit lazy, which is Disappointing.

The selection felt small to me, and nothing really stood out. It wasn’t terrible or anything, but I’m sure most people would probably find it a bit boring.

"Playback was frustrating"
I tried watching a movie and it just kept buffering or suddenly dropping to awful quality. My Wi-Fi was working fine on other sites, so it didn’t seem like an issue on my end. Not saying it’s a scam, but it was annoying enough that I gave up after about 20 minutes.

I tried booking tickets, but the site was hard to use with my screen reader, haha. The menus kept jumping around and some labels were missing, so it took way longer than it should have
